The new year started with intense preparations for the most anticipated mobile technology event. According to the tradition established by ARIES-TM, Romania is participating for the ninth time with a national pavilion at MWC Barcelona, the largest and most influential connectivity event in the world, which will take place between 27 February and March 2, 2023.
MWC Barcelona has long been the meeting place for the mobile industry, the ideal place for networking and partnerships, where you discover technological innovations and meet industry leaders. Over the past 20-30 years, MWC Barcelona has been highly influential in the development of mobile technology, with the show being central to the development of countless products and services.
The flagship event “MWC Barcelona” represents how the mobile technology and communications industry is inherently relevant and important to all industries, due to the fact that the telecommunications sector is now a horizontal industry, in cooperation with all vertical sectors.
Thanks to GSMA’s collaboration with FC Barcelona, the Sports Tomorrow Congress will be co-located at MWC Barcelona for the first time this year. This will be a good opportunity to identify and create new business opportunities in the mobile and sports ecosystems, providing a new way for enterprises and stakeholders in the sports and technology ecosystem to come together, collaborate and launch products.
Another well-known program is 4YFN (4 Years from Now), MWC’s platform focused on start-ups, where the most interesting start-ups in the digital space are put forward. 4YFN will connect start-ups, investors and companies to jointly launch new business projects.
The large number and diversity of exhibitors demonstrate the growing importance of MWC Barcelona for industries. The show expands its scope to involve the entire suite of players who are essential in the digitization of the industry. This year’s theme is ‘Velocity‘ and will feature five key discussions: 5G acceleration, Reality+, OpenNet, FinTech and Digital Everything.
