Last weekend, the “Innovation Labs” hackathon took place in Timișoara, after which 12 teams of technical startups were chosen, made up of young people with brave projects, which aim to have a positive impact on several sectors of business through their technological solutions. Hackathons are the selection stage of the Innovation Labs accelerator, for the 10-week mentoring program.
The teams fell into one of three categories, depending on the experience of their members: all-student teams, spin-off teams from university research projects, and teams made up of students and experienced entrepreneurs.
On Sunday, March 26, the teams presented an improved version of their product and business strategy to the jury and the audience, through a presentation that included a technical demo and a 2-minute elevator pitch. The jury from Timișoara selected the most performing and promising 12 teams, which thus entered the 10-week development and mentoring program.
The best products will be presented by the teams at the Startup Fair and on stage at the final Demo Day on 28 May 28 and 29 May 2023. The teams will continue to benefit from the support of the accelerator and program supporters after the end of the mentoring period, becoming part of the alumni community of Innovation Labs.
