Radu Ticiu initiated the establishment of the VentilaTM group (Ventilate Me) which includes several dozen engineers, doctors, managers, involved in the development of low and high tech solutions that aim to increase the reaction capacity of local communities in Romania, around frontline doctors reaction to the COVID pandemic19. Within this project, a design team consisting of specialists from Symme3D led by Călin Brandabur, designed and is currently prototyping a first version of the ventilator, to be tested with doctors from the Center ‘Pius Brânzeu’ of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy ‘Victor Babeș’. Ventilators will be offered free of charge to hospitals thanks to those who sponsor this extraordinary project and donations.
