Politehnica University Timișoara inaugurated a cutting-edge neuromarketing lab on September 3, 2025, designed to support multidisciplinary research and partnerships with both universities and pre-university institutions.
UPT has inaugurated a state-of-the-art neuromarketing lab under the Digital U2 – Design your future career in challenging times project, co-financed by the European Union. The lab features eye tracking, EEG, FNIRS, laptops, a smart board, and projection systems, and engages 50 teachers and 160 students from the partner high schools „Nikola Tesla” (Vârșeț) and „Ion I.C. Brătianu” (Timișoara).
The project is valued at over €470,000, with about €200,000 spent on laboratory equipment and another €30,000 contributed by UPT for infrastructure improvements.
Rector Florin Drăgan underlined the lab’s role in fostering multidisciplinary research and partnerships with universities and pre-university institutions. Sabina Potra, the project manager, emphasized that the laboratory will back new projects and international programs, as well as research in education, healthcare, product innovation, and urban architecture.
