For the fourth consecutive year, Romanian companies showcased their cutting-edge innovations at CES Las Vegas, the world’s leading technology trade show, held from 6-9 January 2026. The initiative was led by ARIES-TM (Romanian Association for Electronics and Software Industry, Timișoara branch) with the support of ARICE (Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade).

CES 2026, the largest CES since the pandemic, drew over 148,000 participants from across the globe, including 6,900 members of the international media, content creators, and industry analysts. The event featured more than 400 conference sessions with over 1,300 speakers, 200+ government representatives, and generated over 37,000 media articles. With 4,100+ exhibitors, including around 1,200 startups, CES 2026 highlighted technologies tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges.

This year’s CES highlighted innovations across AI, cybersecurity, digital health, energy, manufacturing, robotics, gaming, sustainability, vehicle tech and advanced mobility, wearables, and other emerging technologies. The event sent a clear message: real progress comes not from spectacle, but from combining data, intelligence, and results with rigor. CES showed that the future is connected, smart, and intuitive, with hardware and software merging into systems that simplify life and unlock new opportunities.

Romania showcased its technological potential at CES 2026 through a national pavilion featuring 14 innovative companies: ActionPoint, Alfa Factory, Arobs Transilvania Software, CargoTrack, .lumen, Elvo Technology, InnovatorSpark, KIM (Keep It Mobile Development), Licenseware, Lineo Engineering, Sigma Group, Simartis, Softech, and Xmartware Consulting.

Over four days, pavilion visitors discovered a diverse array of innovations, from smart glasses for the visually impaired and AI-powered conversation recording, to eSim services, industrial process digitization, and mechanical engineering solutions for electronics.

A highlight of the event was Romanian startup .lumen winning the Accessibility Award for its AI-powered smart glasses for the visually impaired, marking international recognition of Romania’s technological innovation. Beyond the competition prize, the company earned recognition as a CES 2026 Innovation Award Honoree.

During CES, the Romanian delegation participated in networking events, strategic meetings, and matchmaking sessions alongside Lia Roberts, Honorary Consul General of Romania in Las Vegas, Lucia Sava, Consul General in Los Angeles, and Jose Valle and Joe Green from the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, strengthening ties and creating new business opportunities for Romanian companies.

For ARIES-TM, Romania’s fourth appearance at CES demonstrates continuity, professionalism, and the global recognition of Romanian technology, while showcasing companies that develop and deliver world-class products and solutions for international markets.
