Romanian companies took center stage once again at London Tech Week 2025, the United Kingdom’s most influential technology festival, held from June 9 to 11, 2025. The event aimed to unite innovators creating future technologies, the investors backing them, and the tech leaders who integrate these innovations into their organizations.
This year’s edition saw substantial growth, providing increased opportunities to interact with visionary leaders and network with companies investing in emerging technologies. Boasting over 25,000 participants, 12,500 exhibitors, 1,000 investors, 500 speakers, 6 stages with world-class content, and 70 events, LTW 2025 went beyond a simple showcase of the latest technologies—it served as a collaborative platform where ideas evolved into innovative solutions.
The event’s agenda spanned diverse areas, including Artificial Intelligence, quantum computing, Web3, cybersecurity, green tech, DeepTech, Cleantech, and healthtech. Artificial Intelligence continued to take center stage, with 2025 placing special emphasis on ethical development. Industry leaders engaged in discussions about responsible AI frameworks, fairness in algorithms, and policies designed to strike a balance between innovation and accountability.
The theme for this year, “Tech for a Better World,” emphasized technology’s role in tackling current global challenges through sessions dedicated to digital inclusion, gender equality in technology, and the social impact of AI, underscoring the significance of innovation centered around people.
A major highlight of the festival was its focus on emerging talent, where hundreds of startups and scaleups had the chance to present their solutions to global investors, government officials, and industry leaders. The event acted as a springboard for the next generation of unicorns, especially in fields like fintech, agritech, and clean technologies.
Also notable were the fringe events, which allowed conversations to continue in a more informal atmosphere, fostering authentic energy and meaningful connections among attendees.
Romania participated with a national pavilion organized by ARIES-TM, with the support of ARICE partners, offering 16 innovative companies the chance to present their solutions. These included BRAIN SOURCE, CODE INDUSTRY, ESENCA DIGITAL WORKWEAR (Esenca Sizing), FREE WIFI SYSTEM (Wiacom), HIGH CONTRAST, INNOVATORSPARK, INTUITIVE NETWORK (Webamboos), ONE SOFTWARE, R SYSTEMS COMPUTARIS EUROPE, RAISIS GROUP, REDBEE SOFTWARE, RESHAPE DIGITAL, ROWEB DEVELOPMENT, SEVEN CODE DEVELOPMENT, SOFTECH, and ZITEC COM.
The involvement of these companies highlights Romania’s strong and competitive IT ecosystem, positioning the country as an important player in the global technology arena. Romania’s participation in London Tech Week 2025 went beyond a mere technology showcase or sales event; it served as an important platform to stress the crucial role of human capital in digital advancement. Without adequate digital skills training, there is a risk that the purchased technology will not be used effectively, and individuals may lack the necessary digital mindset to address today’s challenges.
In this framework, artificial intelligence goes beyond being a mere technology; it represents a complex infrastructure demanding substantial investment and unwavering dedication to foster sustained innovation and advancement.
