On March 17, 2026, ARIES held its General Assembly in Bucharest, reviewing recent activities, setting strategic priorities for the next phase, and electing its new leadership.
The meeting included presentations of ARIES’ Activity and Budget Reports, an update on financial statements, and discussions on collaboration between regional branches and strengthening national activities. The General Assembly also approved several updates to the association’s statutes.
A key agenda item was the presentation of ARIES’ projects and programs, including the Export Promotion Program, which helps Romanian IT companies showcase their products at international trade fairs and expand into global markets.
ARIES also highlighted its involvement in the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), which provides companies with support for international expansion, access to global partnerships, and collaboration opportunities across Europe.
A highlight of the General Assembly was the election of ARIES’ new leadership, with Bogdan Moldovan, CEO of Axigen Messaging, appointed as the association’s president.
During the meeting, former ARIES president Alexandru Borcea was named Honorary President in recognition of his pivotal role in founding and growing the association.
The new ARIES president outlined key priorities for the coming period, including boosting the association’s online presence, expanding marketing and communications, and strengthening the member community.
The plan also focuses on engaging existing members, attracting new tech companies, setting a clear events calendar, organizing webinars, and identifying new funding opportunities for projects.
Through these initiatives, ARIES aims to reinforce its role as a hub for collaboration and representation of Romania’s IT and tech companies, supporting their growth and global expansion.
