Romania’s national “Romania IT” Pavilion, supported by ARIES-TM (Romanian Association for the Electronic and Software Industry – Timișoara Branch) and ARICE (Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade), showcased 14 Romanian technology companies at GITEX AI Europe Berlin 2026, one of Europe’s leading platforms for artificial intelligence, innovation, and digital transformation.
Following the success of Romania’s debut at GITEX AI Europe Berlin in 2025, ARIES-TM once again supported the country’s national pavilion, bringing Romanian innovation to the global technology stage for the second consecutive year on June 30 – July 1, 2026.
Under the theme “A Bolder Digital Europe is Open”, GITEX AI Europe Berlin 2026 gathered more than 800 exhibitors, companies, and startups, with 280 speakers and 600 investors joining the conversation. The event reaffirmed its role as a key international platform connecting technology leaders, researchers, investors, and public sector representatives to shape the future of Europe’s digital ecosystem.
The GITEX AI Europe Berlin agenda placed the spotlight on key technologies driving the future, from artificial intelligence and deep tech to quantum technologies, cybersecurity, and emerging innovations. The event connected participants with global perspectives on digital transformation and opened new opportunities for collaboration across the technology ecosystem.
Over the course of two days, attendees took part in interactive sessions, AI-focused masterclasses, cybersecurity presentations, and live technology demonstrations showcasing how emerging technologies are already transforming industries worldwide. The exhibition floor brought innovation to life through practical solutions, highlighting how ideas discussed at a strategic level are being turned into real products and services with tangible impact.
Berlin’s selection as the host city for GITEX AI Europe reflects its position as one of Europe’s leading innovation hubs. With more than 6,000 startups and a community of over 100,000 professionals shaping its technology ecosystem, the German capital continues to attract innovators, investors, and technology leaders from around the world.
At the international exhibition area, the “Romania IT” Pavilion showcased 14 Romanian technology companies, highlighting the innovation, expertise, and global competitiveness of Romania’s IT ecosystem. The participating companies were ABIT (AC ABIT Technology), ASTI Automation, BGX Solutions, Expertware, Floating Dots, High Contrast, Mejix, Redbee Software, Reshape Digital, 7code (Seven Code Development), Sigma Distribution, Softech, TrustPass, and Xmartware Consulting.
From business digitalization and industrial simulation to robotics, automation, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital identity, the showcased solutions reflected the breadth of Romania’s technology capabilities. By bringing innovative products and expertise to the global stage, Romanian companies demonstrated the maturity of the local ecosystem and their potential to help shape the future of technology worldwide.
Beyond increasing their international visibility, Romanian companies at GITEX AI Europe Berlin gained valuable opportunities to engage with potential partners, investors, and technology leaders from across Europe, opening new avenues for collaboration and growth.
A key highlight of the event was the meeting between Romanian companies and H.E. Adriana-Loreta Stănescu, Ambassador of Romania to Germany, who offered valuable insights into the German market and supported the exploration of new partnerships and business opportunities for the Romanian technology sector.
One of the defining moments of Romania’s participation at GITEX AI Europe Berlin 2026 was the signing of a strategic partnership with GITEX to bring the first edition of GITEX AI Serbia to life. The new event will take place on May 25–27, 2027, at Belgrade Fair, as part of EXPO 2027.
By becoming the first country to sign this partnership, Romania reaffirmed its commitment to driving regional innovation and contributing to the development of a technology ecosystem with global ambitions.
ARIES-TM sees significant potential in the technologies developed by companies, startups, and professionals across the Balkans to make their mark on the global stage. The association invites the technology community to be part of the first edition of GITEX AI Serbia and help shape the future of the region’s innovation ecosystem.
