For the 11th consecutive year, Romania showcased its national pavilion at MWC Barcelona, reinforcing its strong tradition in technology and innovation. The annual participation brings together Romanian companies, partners, and professionals who champion the country’s tech potential.
MWC26, the world’s leading connectivity event, celebrated 20 years in Barcelona, uniting exhibitors, startups, and global leaders to showcase innovative solutions shaping society and industry. The theme, “The IQ Era“, drew 105,000 participants from 207 countries, nearly 2,900 exhibitors, 1,700+ speakers, 188 ministerial delegations, 2,600 journalists, and over 1.3 million live session views, according to GSMA.
At 4YFN, over 1,000 startups and hundreds of investors with $70 billion in combined funding came together. Romanian company Teraseya took the Pitching Stage to showcase its innovative solutions to a global audience, underscoring Romania’s tech creativity.
The event featured Talent Arena by Mobile World Capital Barcelona, drawing over 25,000 participants, and highlighted innovations like the Airport of the Future, New Frontiers, and a variety of robots—demonstrating how connectivity is reshaping global infrastructure.
Romania’s presence offered a prime platform for showcasing cutting-edge tech and AI innovations shaping future industry trends. Sixteen Romanian companies exhibited at the national pavilion organized by ARIES-TM, with support from ARICE, including ActionPoint, Axigen Messaging, BinarCode, High Contrast, InnovatorSpark, Juno Software, Mejix, Qualteh, Quasar, R Systems, Roweb Development, Seven Code, Simartis, Softech, Teraseya, and Zitec.
Romanian companies connected with international investors and partners, while showcasing their latest tech innovations on a global stage: AI for conversation recording, cloud and eSIM services, complete email platforms, industrial digitization tools, production optimization apps, branding and UX/UI solutions, and smart IoT-based agriculture technologies.
During MWC26, the Romanian Consulate General in Barcelona hosted a reception for Romanian entrepreneurs, creating a space to strengthen business ties between Romania and Catalonia. Supported by ARIES-TM and Romania’s Honorary Consul in the Balearic Islands, Mr. Alexandru Lazăr, the event brought together Romanian and Catalan business leaders exploring IT and digital technology collaborations.
MWC26 highlighted Romanian companies’ dedication to growing the software industry and digital economy, unlocking new international opportunities and boosting Romania’s global presence.
