As every year, we were thrilled to support NextGenTech UPT – IA-PracticAC, the mobile app competition organized by Politehnica University of Timișoara during the 14th edition of SCMUPT – Mobile Applications Communication Session.
NextGenTech UPT encourages students to unleash their creativity, innovation, and technical skills. Focused on web and mobile apps, the competition explores cutting-edge technologies like AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, IoT, and interactive solutions.
The focus of the competition is not technical complexity, but the value of ideas and their real-world impact.
This year, the competition featured two sections with separate judging and rankings: Utility & Lifestyle Apps and Community, Entertainment & Games.
ARIES-TM was honored to join the jury for this year’s edition, supporting young talent in the mobile sector. Winners received tickets to Mobile World Congress Barcelona, the world’s top connectivity event, where ARIES-TM will coordinate the Romanian Pavilion with 16 innovative Romanian companies.
Participating in MWC gives students the chance to:
• Connect directly with startup founders, investors, and global mentors;
• Explore early-stage business models and tech solutions;
• Gain ideas and best practices to apply in future academic projects and entrepreneurial initiatives;
• Connect theoretical knowledge from university with practical industry applications;
• A major highlight for students is the 4YFN (Four Years From Now) area, part of MWC, dedicated to startups, entrepreneurship, and the exchange of innovative ideas.
