On <\/span>March <\/span>17, <\/span>2026, <\/span>ARIES <\/span>held <\/span>its <\/span>General <\/span>Assembly <\/span><\/strong>in <\/span>Bucharest, <\/span>reviewing <\/span>recent <\/span>activities, <\/span>setting <\/span>strategic <\/span>priorities <\/span>for <\/span>the <\/span>next <\/span>phase, <\/span>and <\/span>electing <\/span>its <\/span>new <\/span>leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The <\/span>meeting <\/span>included <\/span>presentations <\/span>of <\/span>ARIES\u2019 <\/span>Activity <\/span>and <\/span>Budget <\/span><\/strong>Reports<\/strong>, <\/span>an <\/span>update <\/span>on <\/span>financial <\/span><\/strong>statements<\/strong>, <\/span>and <\/span>discussions <\/span>on <\/span>collaboration <\/span>between <\/span>regional <\/span>branches <\/span>and <\/span>strengthening <\/span>national <\/span>activities. <\/span>The <\/span>General <\/span>Assembly <\/span>also <\/span>approved <\/span>several <\/span>updates <\/span>to <\/span>the <\/span>association\u2019s <\/span>statutes.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

A <\/span>key <\/span>agenda <\/span>item <\/span>was <\/span>the <\/span>presentation <\/span>of <\/span>ARIES\u2019 <\/span>projects <\/span><\/strong>and <\/span>programs<\/strong>, <\/span>including <\/span>the <\/span>Export <\/span>Promotion <\/span><\/strong>Program<\/strong>, <\/span>which <\/span>helps <\/span>Romanian <\/span>IT <\/span>companies <\/span>showcase <\/span>their <\/span>products <\/span>at <\/span>international <\/span>trade <\/span>fairs <\/span>and <\/span>expand <\/span>into <\/span>global <\/span>markets.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

ARIES <\/span>also <\/span>highlighted <\/span>its <\/span>involvement <\/span>in <\/span>the <\/span>Enterprise <\/span>Europe <\/span>Network (<\/span><\/strong>EEN)<\/strong>, <\/span>which <\/span>provides <\/span>companies <\/span>with <\/span>support <\/span>for <\/span>international <\/span>expansion, <\/span>access <\/span>to <\/span>global <\/span>partnerships, <\/span>and <\/span>collaboration <\/span>opportunities <\/span>across <\/span>Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

A <\/span>highlight <\/span>of <\/span>the <\/span>General <\/span>Assembly <\/span>was <\/span>the <\/span>election <\/span>of <\/span>ARIES\u2019 <\/span>new <\/span><\/strong>leadership<\/strong>, <\/span>with <\/span>Bogdan <\/span>Moldovan, <\/span>CEO <\/span>of <\/span>Axigen <\/span>Messaging, <\/span>appointed <\/span>as <\/span>the <\/span>association\u2019s <\/span><\/strong>president<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

During <\/span>the <\/span>meeting, <\/span>former <\/span>ARIES <\/span>president <\/span>Alexandru <\/span>Borcea <\/span>was <\/span>named <\/span>Honorary <\/span>President <\/span><\/strong>in <\/span>recognition <\/span>of <\/span>his <\/span>pivotal <\/span>role <\/span>in <\/span>founding <\/span>and <\/span>growing <\/span>the <\/span>association.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The <\/span>new <\/span>ARIES <\/span>president <\/span>outlined <\/span>key <\/span>priorities <\/span><\/strong>for <\/span>the <\/span>coming <\/span>period, <\/span>including <\/span>boosting <\/span>the <\/span>association\u2019s <\/span>online <\/span>presence, <\/span>expanding <\/span>marketing <\/span>and <\/span>communications, <\/span>and <\/span>strengthening <\/span>the <\/span>member <\/span>community.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The plan also focuses on engaging existing members, attracting new tech companies, setting a clear events calendar, organizing webinars, and identifying new funding opportunities for projects.<\/p>\n\n

Through these initiatives, ARIES aims to reinforce its role as a hub for collaboration and representation of Romania\u2019s IT and tech companies, supporting their growth and global expansion.<\/p>\n\n
