Innovation Labs 2022 has come to an end, and on Demo Day, 15 startups presented their developments, the most innovative business ideas and what are their long-term plans. The finalist teams were chosen following the national semi-finals in early July from the entire generation of 69 startups that were part of the 2022 edition of the Innovation Labs program.
The finalists pitched their products in two-minute presentations on stage in front of the audience and answered questions from the Demo Day judges. All teams will continue to benefit from the support of the accelerator and program supporters after the end of the mentoring period, becoming part of the alumni community of Innovation Labs.
Timisoara was successfully represented by two teams: Blume Technologies and Morpheus.
Morpheus is an identity verification solution that allows online platforms to verify the identity of users through gestures, fingerprints, and everything is verified on the blockchain so that user’s signature remains unique and cannot be replicated.
Blume Technologies wants to make crosswalks safer by alerting drivers to the presence and intent of pedestrians. Based on Machine Learning and Computer Vision algorithms, the system consists of video surveillance of pedestrian crossings, analyzing the video feed, detecting pedestrians and predicting their behavior, and then alerting drivers through LED panels. The main customers are public authorities and real estate developers, but the system is promoted to citizens as they are the main beneficiaries.
